    A favorite uneven jaw fix from the Face Yoga library, this exercise is easy to practice anywhere from the car on the way to pick up the kids after school, to the shower after a long day, or even between meetings at work.

    Working by aligning the tissue of the lower eyes and upper cheek, this facial stretch helps to tone muscles and raise facial features naturally. 

    Here’s how to perform this Face Yoga pose:

    • Find somewhere comfortable to sit or stand
    • Partially wink one eye between 25 and 50 times (the more the better)
    • Make sure you maintain tension by preventing your eye from fully closing

    Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise once for each eye, once a day


    Fix Uneven Jaw Exercise #2 - The “Ooooh” Pose

    Think of the last time you saw something ah-mazing. Odds are that you formed an ‘O’ shape with your mouth. This movement can actually be used repeatedly as a form of exercise to strengthen the muscles around your smile.

    Over time, this process will tighten and tone these stabilizing muscles and help both sides of your mouth lift up. The result? An even smile and those pesky asymmetrical features are gone.

    Here’s how to perform this Face Yoga pose:

    • Find somewhere comfortable to sit or stand
    • Make an exaggerated smile (stretching the corners of your mouth as much as you can without causing pain)
    • Say “eeeee” and hold the position of your mouth is in for 15 seconds
    • Say “oooh” and hold the position your mouth is in for 15 seconds

    Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 10 to 15 times a day


    Fix Uneven Jaw Exercise #3 - The Lower Jaw Push

    Clenching your jaw is a habit that’s going to lead to unwanted headaches, neck pain, and more trips to the local dentist than you want - but that doesn’t mean you can’t use your jaw in other ways to help achieve facial symmetry.

    This facial exercise helps to naturally lift your face and chin muscles, removing any minor uneven features and giving you a more symmetrical overall appearance.

    Here’s how to perform this Face Yoga pose:

    • Find somewhere comfortable to sit or stand
    • With your mouth close, push your lower jaw out and lift your lower lip
    • You’ll feel tension building just underneath the chin and in your jawline (this is good!)
    • Hold this feeling of tension for 10 to 15 seconds, then return to a relaxed state

    Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 5 to 10 times a day


    BONUS: Fix Uneven Jaw Exercise #4 - The Pufferfish

    Have you ever seen a pufferfish with asymmetrical features?
