Neck Lift Exercise #1 – The Tongue Press

Your tongue is made up of 8 muscles and you can use every one of them to help lift and firm your neck (and look years younger).

Here’s how you master this simple Face Yoga pose:

  • Tilt your head back until you’re staring at the ceiling
  • Press your tongue against the roof of your mouth
  • Lower your chin to your chest while keeping your tongue pressed against the roof of your mouth

This simple repetition will provide resistance that tightens and tones the underworked muscles around your jawline and neck. As these muscles regain firmness, the outer layer of skin will become taut and tight.

Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 15 to 20 times.

Neck Lift Exercise #2 – The Swan

Think about the most graceful necks in the animal kingdom and it’s tough to go past the swan.

So we’ve used these gorgeous creatures as inspiration for our next at-home Face Yoga pose.

This pose works by tightening muscles below the jawline. This counters the effect of sagging and loose skin that many women encounter over time.

Here’s how you perform this facial exercise:

  • Turn your head upwards and to the left, at a 45-degree angle
  • Pucker your lips like you’re giving a kiss and move it to the left
  • Hold the tension you’ll feel in the right side of your neck (but don’t strain)
  • Hold this resistance for 5 seconds then return to the center
  • Repeat while looking upwards and to the right

This neck-lifting exercise is super simple but super effective.

Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 15 to 20 times.

Neck Lift Exercise #3 – The Frowning Face

You’ll have plenty to smile about after mastering this Face Yoga pose, but for now, we need you to embrace a frown and use it to eliminate sagging skin and rejuvenate your neck. You’ll want to find somewhere comfortable for this exercise, as well as somewhere private (the faces you’ll pull can be a little scary, but the results are well worth it).

Here’s what you’ll need to do:

  • Pull your lips back to reveal your teeth
  • Next, frown as hard as you can (without causing pain or overt discomfort)
  • Once you feel the tendons in your neck straining, slowly open and close your mouth

Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 20 times.

Neck Lift Exercise #4- The Ceiling Kiss

Pucker up, because the final facial exercise for a smooth and sexy neck involves those gorgeous lips of yours.

Don’t worry, we won’t make you kiss anyone for this pose, but you will need to blow kisses to the ceiling, so find somewhere comfortable to sit then follow these steps:

  • Tilt your head up until you’re staring at the ceiling
  • Make an exaggerated kissing movement
  • Be sure to extend your lips as far as possible to create tension in your neck

Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 20 times.
