Thankfully, there are steps you can take to melt face fat and wave goodbye to your double chin, and they don’t involve injections, liposuction, or pain of any type. In fact, they’re 100% natural…
Frustrated by an unwanted double chin that you can’t seem to get rid of?
We get it, a double chin, also known as ‘submental fullness, can cause serious frustration when diet and traditional exercises don’t work.
Studies have shown close to 1 out of every 2 women are bothered by the appearance of their chin, and if you’ve been struggling with a double chin there’s a good chance you’ve looked into every double chin treatment under the sun, from mouthpieces to massaging tools, laser lipolysis treatments to expensive facial moisturizers.
Targeting the excess fat under your chin (known as submental fat), Face Yoga actively targets the muscles surrounding your chin and neck to workout underused muscles and relieve overworked muscles, while burning face fat naturally.
This helps your chin (and entire face) becomes smoother and more radiant as the underlying muscle tones and firms. At the same time, regular facial exercise triggers natural collagen production which helps restore skin elasticity, or in this case, chin elasticity.
The end result? Removing double chins naturally.

Have you ever seen a fish with a double chin?
No, that’s because they practice their fish faces every single day!
In all seriousness, the fish face is an exceptional double chin removal exercise as it targets your jawline to leave you looking svelte and sculpted. As the 57 muscles of your face and neck are connected, improving your jawline will help lift your chin and blast away excess fat.
To perform this Face Yoga pose, suck your cheeks in and make a fish face, the tighter you can pull your cheeks inwards, the better. Hold this pose for 15 to 20 seconds to feel the pose working your cheeks.
As this pose is hands-free and easy to do, you can add it to your daily routine while you make the kid’s breakfast, make your partner’s breakfast (aka ‘the big kid), or while you’re heading to the shops – pretty much anywhere you like!
Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 5 to 6 times.
Can you roll your tongue?
Everyone has tried to roll their tongue at least once in their life, and if you’re part of the 90% of people who can roll their tongue, then this double chin workout is going to be a breeze.
Start by looking straight ahead, either standing or sitting comfortably, and roll your tongue while sticking it out. Once you have this position, gently lift your tongue up towards your nose while maintaining that role. Try to hold this upward position for 10 to 15 seconds.
You should feel resistance at the base of your tongue, which is good! Each movement helps to work out your tongue and tighten your mouth. This has the effect of lifting your jawline and smoothing out jowls, puffed cheeks, and any double chin.
Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 2 to 3 times.
This is another double chin exercise that actively targets excess fat deposits of your chin and can be performed anywhere from the car to the shops, the shower to even lying in bed.
All you need to do is push your lower jaw out as far as it will (comfortably) go. With your lower jaw extended, aim to lift your chin upwards until you feel the tension in the skin below your chin.
Hold this tension for a few seconds then return your jaw to the starting position.
Super simple, super effective.
Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 10 times.
Double Chin Exercise #4 – The Neck Roll
Let’s be honest, even if you enjoy a trip to the gym or add regular cardio to your weekly routine, it’s tough to remember to work out your neck.
How would you even target such a specific part of your body?
The secret is in neck rolls.
Neck rolls help burn the submental fat that builds up in deposits under your chin and leads to double chin and excess weight.
This Face Yoga pose is easy to do, but it’s best to find somewhere comfortable to sit or stand as you’ll need to focus on your movement for maximum results. As is the case with a trip to the gym, using your mind-body connection is crucial to get the best results.
Start by tucking your chin into your neck as snugly and comfortably as you can.
Next, slowly roll your head in a circular motion from left to right and back again for roughly 20 seconds. This helps work out the muscles and ligaments of your neck which starts to burn fat, as well as firm up those muscles for a smoother chin and more defined jawline.
Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 5 to 10 times
Double Chin Exercise #5 – The Chin Touch
Have you ever tried to touch your chin with your tongue?
Well if you have, you’ve been working on reducing your double chin without knowing it!
Using your tongue to try and touch your chin helps provide an effective workout to your chin area, helping activate unused muscles around your chin which firm and tone, causing your skin to firm and tone too.
This is an especially simple facial exercise for your double chin, and the only step is to stick your tongue out and down towards your chin. It’s OK if you can’t reach (not many people can), the purpose is to feel the muscles of your tongue and jaw tensing for 5 to 10 seconds, then you can relax.
Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 10 to 15 times.
An unwanted double chin can affect your confidence, self-esteem, social life, and self-worth.
With so much on the line, it’s a stress-relief to know double chin removal exercises can start and finish at home. There’s no need for surgery to try and shave off excess fat deposits, or injections to your neck to chase that younger, slimmer appearance you’re after.
Using the 5 exercises for double chins we’ve outlined above you can enjoy a more defined jawline that makes you look great, but more importantly, makes you feel great too.
