Come on, fess up.
Your daily routine is a little out of whack lately. Between the pandemic, running your busy household, and trying to look after the people in your life, it’s tough to keep up with a skincare and beauty routine.
Unfortunately, that leaves your skin dry, cracked, irritated, and seemingly with more wrinkles than the day before – and you might be right! Stress has been scientifically proven to increase facial wrinkles as cortisol (the stress hormone) can break down your skin’s elastin and collagen – both crucial for smooth skin.
But before you throw in the towel and admit defeat, know this – it’s not too late to take control of your daily routine and start erasing those unwanted creases and fine lines.
Best of all, it only takes 15 minutes of Face Yoga a day. Here’s what you need to do to transform your appearance in the same amount of time it takes to have a shower.
The Power of Face Yoga
Let’s cut to the chase, you’ve got a lot on your plate. But finding an extra 15 minutes can be put to use practicing your own Face Yoga routine.
It’s common for women to wonder, “isn’t Face Yoga just for celebrities and influencers who have time to practice each day?”. And while Face Yoga is embraced by Hollywood stars and even Royals (the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, swears by Face Yoga), it’s PERFECT for time-poor women who don’t want to spend big on cosmetic products and anti-aging creams but do want to see improvements to their skin, jawline, facial features, and more.
If you’d like to learn more about the science of Face Yoga, we’ve created the ultimate guide (100% certified jargon-free) that walks you through the science of your skin, and how regular Face Yoga helps to stimulate collagen production and return skin elasticity.

How to Find Time in Your Day for Face Yoga
If you’re feeling under-rested and over-scheduled, you’re not alone. Over 60% of Americans admit to feeling burnt out and tired, so the key to finding your extra 15 minutes a day for Face Yoga is to learn how to manage your time more effectively.
Here are a few simple ways for you to unlock more free time, without having to rearrange your life:
- If you’re a Mom, use your child’s nap time to work on tasks
- Combine tasks, e.g. have your morning coffee while walking the dog, or check your emails while brushing your teeth
- Aim for ‘Dirt Removal’ over ‘Completely Spotless’ to ensure a clean house without the extra hours of chores
- Plan your day the night before (you can do this while you watch Netflix) so you’ll know where you’ll be spending your time
- Only check your phone for approved reasons (like downloading the Face Yoga app). The average woman checks her phone once every 12 minutes, which is a lot of time!
OK, now that you know how to carve out a little extra time in your day, here are 3 of our favorite Face Yoga exercises that are simple, fun, and quick.
Start adding these facial exercises to your daily routine, whether before bed or first thing in the morning and watch the results improve day after day, week after week.
The skin around your eyes is super delicate (up to 10x thinner than the skin on the rest of your face) so it’s no wonder you often wake up looking like you’ve gone a few rounds with a championship boxer.
While dark circles under your eyes are never fun, you can help reduce their appearance and smooth wrinkles around your eyes in 15 minutes or less. Start by partially winking one eye, but keeping the other open. Hold this position for 2 to 3 seconds while focusing on contracting all the muscles around your winking eye.
Repetitions: Release and repeat this facial exercise 10 to 20 times for each eye

Sick of your defined nasolabial folds? No problem.
Try the following Face Yoga exercise for just 15 minutes a day and watch those creases fade and smooth out. To perform this pose, you’ll need to smile as wide as you can and press the tips of your fingers into the crease between your nose and lips (this is your nasolabial fold).
While holding your smile, apply downward pressure with your hands. You don’t want to overpower your smile, but hold a balanced resistance to activate the muscles surrounding your mouth for a strength-boosting exercise that gives you glowing, round cheeks – a classic sign of youth and beauty.
Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 10 to 15 times

When you live a busy life, stress can find its way to your forehead in the form of wrinkles. This isn’t a pseudo-science outcome, but the effects of repeat movement of the frontalis muscle – the primary muscle in your head that controls movement and expression.
The more you express shock, surprise, sadness, and so on, the more deeply ingrained your forehead lines become. To reduce the appearance of forehead lines, make a fist with both hands and place them in the middle of your forehead. Then, apply pressure and slide your fists to the side like you’re smoothing out dough.
This Face Yoga movement for busy women helps relax the frontalis muscle, smooth wrinkles, and reduces tension too (so you’ll feel lovely and relaxed when you’re done).
Repetitions: Repeat this facial exercise 5 to 10 times
